Zombies Invade The Capital City

Lock your doors and board up the windows! The Downtown Lansing Zombie Walk returns on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Welcome, registration for the costume contests, and drop off for your non-perishable food items begins at 3pm at the Zombie Bride tent in the Impression 5 Science Center Riverside Parking Lot.

You’re encouraged to bring donations with 100% of cash, coin and food directly benefiting the Greater Lansing Food Bank.

Zombie Contests begin at 4pm with Best Adult Zombie followed by Best Teen/Kiddo Zombie. Costumes showing creepy creativity, undead uniqueness, and eerie individuality are highly favored. 

A pre-walk group photo and instructions will be given before being unleashed upon unsuspecting citizens. Traffic will come to a standstill as we slowly make our way to the steps of the Capitol for the most amazingly horrific photo shoot that Mid-Michigan has ever seen.

All ages are welcomed and it’s FREE to participate! 

The Downtown Lansing Zombie Walk is brought to you by Zombie Walk Michigan – a 501(c)(3) non-profit bringing awareness to the diversity of food insecurity, connection within communities and collaboration with local food banks through Family-Focused “Fun”-raising Zombie Walks.
